The Word Of God Needs These 3 Things!

The Word Of God Needs These 3 Things:

1) It needs to be read daily!

2) It needs to be meditated!

Num 11:7 The manna was like small whitish seeds
Num 11:8 and tasted like something baked with sweet olive oil. It appeared at night with the dew. In the morning the people would collect the manna, grind or crush it into flour, then boil it and make it into thin wafers.

3) It lives forever when it becomes revelation in our spirits!

I look forward to your comments : )

PS: Big Ups to Jeremy, I wouldn't be able to have posted my vlogs without your help. Chur bro!!!

Paul's Thoughts said...

When I heard your message a little niggling feeling started in my head, which has subsequently turned into a resonating “uh Oh”. Lately, I have been putting in a colossal amount of time into reading, pondering, evaluating and analysing the Koran and the Book of Mormon along with associated secondary texts in order to gain insights into why some people behave and talk as they do.

I have been examining Muhammad in relation to his messages, how Muhammad’s army spread Islam and how he dealt with conflicts with the Jews and religious leaders, the manner in which he died, teaching on forgiveness, healing, love ,prayer, attitudes towards women, etc. I have only a few pages left to read in the Book of Mormon, my desire to reach the end with suitable notes has left my bible time poorly inadequate. It’s important to just have “bible time”, and as you say digest its spiritual food properly for daily nutritional requirements. Dear I say it, I may have placed the bible in a secondary and subsidiary position with regards to the priority of my time. “uh oh”.

Now, given that the Word of God is Jesus Christ (John 1:1, 14, Revelation 19:13) then I really need to check my attitude towards it with regards to time allocation. I say this because Jesus Christ is perfectly one with the bible, so my attitude towards it doubles as an attitude towards Jesus. If I neglect the bible, I neglect Jesus.

Derek Prince has this to say.
“If Christ is in this sense perfectly one with the Bible, then it follows that the relationship of the believer to the Bible must be the same as his relationship to Christ.” And again he says “Your attitude toward God’s Word is your attitude toward God himself. You do not love God more than you love His Word. You do not obey God more than you obey His Word. You do not honour God more than you honour his Word. Your do not have more room in your heart and life for God than you have for His Word” Derek Prince, from his booklet “Foundation for Faith”.

Now by spending more time in other religious texts than I do in the bible, what I’m I saying to God, what attitude have I been expressing towards him? “uh oh”.

Cive, Your Vlogs have been course for much uneasiness in my life and in this instance has proved to be a valuable balancing check.
